your experience, the appointment of a Town Planner of

standing for such length of time as would enable him

to draw up a detailed plan or

development or the

visit of in the first instance, a Consultant is likely

to be most profitable.

We should also be very grateful

if you could suggest the names of any suitable persons

who might be approached in either capacity and give us

some indication of what salary they would be likely to

expect.

We have considered telegraphing to the Governor and

seeking a clearer definition of his requirements but think

it is probable that he does not himself know what would be

best and wishes advice from this end. We should be most

grateful for any help that you can give us. My Secretary

of State is taking a personal interest in this appointment

which he regards as of considerable important at the present

time. Consideration of it has unfortunately been delayed at

this end and I would very much appreciate (therefore)an early

reply.
